Al From supports Connecticut for Lieberman Party

Al From might work for an organization with the word 'Democratic' in it's title, but that isn't stopping the DLC honcho from supporting the Connecticut for Lieberman Party:

Joe Lieberman is a man of high integrity and high purpose. He has been my friend for two decades, and to me, he represents the best in American politics. [...]

In my personal capacity, I will support Joe Lieberman, running as an independent Democrat.

But I feel it is important for the future of our Party to clarify that Lieberman isn't running as an independent Democrat, he is running on the Connecticut for Lieberman ticket:

Joe Lieberman is now the candidate for Senate on the Connecticut for Lieberman Party (CFL). He should be recognized as such as he chose it. So let us all use the correct label for Joe - Sen. Joseph Lieberman (CT-CFL). Joe is NOT an indepdendent. Why? Because that name is ALREADY TAKEN in Connecticut!

It has been explained previously here on DKos that Connecticut has strict rules for the naming of a political party. You cannot use the name of another party in your party name. When Joe calls himself an "Indepdedent Democrat", he is taking the names of TWO other Connecticut Politcal parties - the Democrats, and the Independents. Sorry, Joe, no can do.

Everybody between here and Tibet knows that Ned Lamont is now the Democratic candidate for US Senate from Connecicut. The Independent candidate from Connecticut is John Mertens - not Joe Lieberman!

The Democrats could have had the honor of Joe Lieberman still being a Democrat, but idiot voters decided to support the terrorists and lose the Global War on Terror. It is the Connecticut for Lieberman Party which had the foresight to support a candidate as great as Lieberman and recognition has been earned.

That said, the support from Al From is a blessing. Most Democrats are cut-and-run hippies, but Al From is just as comfortable serving as a lobbyist for the Chamber of Commerce as he is supporting Joe. Our Unity movement will only suceed if we can destroy the Democrats and few people have more experience in this task than the Democratic Leadership Council under the direction of Al From.

Is this really necessary?

Blogger Josh Marshall has posted a message on Joe Lieberman, saying, "F--k him."

This foul language has no place in the public discourse, not even on the internet. No wonder nobody listens to bloggers.

The problem is that sometimes people do listen to bloggers. In 2005, too many Democrats listened to Josh Marshall and Joe Lieberman was unable to lead the unity movement to privatize Social Security.

If Josh Marshall hadn't foiled Lieberman's plans to work in unity with George Bush to phase out Social Security, you could have your own private account right now. With Lieberman's strong support for the unity Energy Bill, Exxon profits are setting records. Like Lieberman, you could be getting rich off Halliburton Stock. But noooooo, the Democrats had to go and screw things up by listening to Josh Marshall -- which is why nobody listens to him. He should apologize for his comment just like Trent Lott had to apologize.

Democrats Support Terrorists

From todays New York Times:

Senator Joseph I. Lieberman seized on the terror arrests in Britain today to attack his Democratic rival, Ned Lamont, saying that Mr. Lamont's goals for ending the war in Iraq would constitute a "victory" for extremists, including those accused of plotting to blow up airliners traveling between Britain and the United States.

"If we just pick up like Ned Lamont wants us to do, get out by a date certain, it will be taken as a tremendous victory by the same people who wanted to blow up these planes in this plot hatched in England," Mr. Lieberman said at a campaign event at lunchtime in Waterbury, Conn. "It will strengthen them and they will strike again."

If you don't vote for Connecticut for Lieberman nominee Joe Lieberman, you could die. In fact, there is a good chance that terrorists are planning to blow up your house if you don't vote for Joe Lieberman and the Connecticut for Lieberman Party. I'm not saying it will happen for sure, but is it really a risk you want to take?

Lieberman Sacks Staff

Great news:

To prepare for his indie CT SEN run, Joe Lieberman asked for, and received, resignations from his entire primary campaign team (staff and consultants). In addition, Lieberman announced that his longtime state director and political aide, Sherry Brown, would takeover as campaign manager, and his former senate communications dir., Dan Gerstein, would serve in a similar role for the campaign.

The release specifically notes the campaign will be searching for a new pollster and media consultant to replace Stan Greenberg and Carter Eskew, respectively. Greenberg's partner, Al Quinlan, actually served as the principal strategist for Lieberman during the primary. As we previously reported, there has been a quiet search for a new consulting team going on for at least a week. The primary requirement: Democratic ties. The Lieberman camp does not want overt GOP ties on the vendor front.

I'm glad Lieberman fired Sean Smith, who is a loser and lost. Dan Gerstein is a perfect choice, he has the experience necessary in undermining the Democratic Party for the Connecticut for Lieberman Party to win in November.

However, I don't understand why Lieberman is discriminating against Republican firms, the GOP has better ideas and better staff. I mean, if you can't beat them, hire them.

Karl Rove Supports Connecticut for Lieberman Party

According to a close Lieberman adviser, the President's political guru, Karl Rove, has reached out to the Lieberman camp with a message straight from the Oval Office: "The boss wants to help. Whatever we can do, we will do."
